What is OncoLedger? OncoLedger is a follow-up tracking tool built specifically for oncology surgeons. After surgery, it automatically builds each patient's follow-up schedule based on their cancer type and stage, tracks who's due or overdue, and sends appointment reminders — so no patient falls through the cracks after they leave the operating room.
Is OncoLedger a medical device or diagnostic tool? No. OncoLedger is administrative and organizational software. It does not diagnose, recommend treatment, or replace your clinical judgment. Every schedule it generates is a starting point you can review and adjust for each patient.
Who is OncoLedger for? Oncology surgeons and their clinical/administrative staff. It's built around real surgical oncology follow-up protocols, not generic appointment scheduling.
Where is patient data stored? Entirely on servers located in India (Mumbai). We built OncoLedger India-first specifically because of the sensitivity of oncology patient data.
Who can see my patients' data? Only you. Every doctor's patient data is isolated at the database level — not just hidden in the interface, but structurally inaccessible to any other doctor's account.
How do reminders work, and are they safe for patient privacy? Reminders go out via WhatsApp, SMS, or email with neutral wording (e.g., "Reminder: your review appointment with Dr. [Name] is on [date]") — they never mention diagnosis or "oncology" explicitly, since many patients share phones with family members.
Can I customize a patient's follow-up schedule? Yes. Once a protocol is assigned, you can edit individual due dates, mark specific visits as not applicable, delete steps, or add custom one-off follow-ups — without affecting the underlying protocol template used for other patients.
What cancer types/protocols are currently supported? We're launching with a small set of protocol templates and actively expanding based on direct input from practicing oncology surgeons. If you need a specific protocol added or customized, contact us — this is exactly the kind of feedback that shapes what we build next.
What happens to my data if I stop using OncoLedger? You can export all your patient data at any time. If you close your account, your data remains available for export for a limited period afterward, then is permanently deleted from our systems (except where law requires longer retention).
Do you sell or share patient data? No. We never sell patient or doctor data. Data is only shared with the specific service providers strictly necessary to run OncoLedger (e.g., the messaging provider that delivers your reminders), and only with the minimum information needed for that purpose.
Is my patients' consent required before I add their data? Yes. As the treating doctor, you're responsible for obtaining appropriate patient consent before entering their information, consistent with your existing medical practice obligations.
